Tanya Ildıroğlu — Co-founder

Tanya Ildıroğlu is an interior and product designer and co-founder of Margo. Since 2000, she has been developing a multidisciplinary design practice spanning spaces, objects and their realization.

With a background in restoration, her sensitivity to material, craftsmanship, memory and the passage of time has become an integral part of her design language. Rather than approaching interiors and objects as separate disciplines, she sees them as interconnected elements of the same experience.

Her work often explores contrasts — old and new, raw and refined, light and shadow, rational and emotional. Natural materials are placed in unexpected contexts, allowing their texture, imperfection and character to become part of the narrative.

At the heart of Ildıroğlu's approach is the belief that design is never emotionally neutral. Every space and object carries traces of the thoughts, instincts and emotions behind its creation, while gradually acquiring new meaning through the people who live with it.

For her, design is therefore less about imposing a style and more about creating identity — through material, memory, emotion and time.
